The next generation 2015 BMW 7 Series was spied on video during the usual testing trials.
With the new G11 platform, BMW aims to shed some weight off the 7 Series when compared to the current F01/F02 models. In a previous interview, R&D chief Herbert Diess calls the new 7 Series the most technically advanced car in BMW’s history.
The G11 7 Series’ structure would probably feature a mix of materials, with the carbon fiber parts being added to the aluminum and steel used in today’s car. The roof, bonnet and bootlid are most likely to be made from CFRP. The magazine comes to confirm our own findings as well. Read Article
