Few days ago we were writing about the launch of the new sports car brand SMS Limited.

Now Saleen presents an astonishing concept, the S5S Raptor, a midengine two-seater powered by a 650 hp engine capable of jetting from 0-100 km/h in less than 3.5 seconds while the top speed is in excess of 320 km/h. These performances are achieved with the help of Pirelli Corsa tires: 275/35ZR20s in the front and 315/35ZR20s in the rear. All these will be available at a price around $185,000.

The aero lines indicate that this is meant to be more of a GT than supercar that was/is the S7. Less downforce from what I can see.

Apparently Saleen is sticking with the blown V8. Understandable considering how cheap and durable Ford MOD engines are. Still, I wish for something original like the twin turbo V6 in the Noble cars (also Ford sourced, BTW).
