Frankly, we won't beat around the bush here: we don't always trust them. It's a dog-eat-dog industry here and everyone's trying to get on the next trip. Some tell it as it is, and most are just rehashing the press release. End of story.

That's why we HIGHLY value a couple of opinions — including our own ;) — and thoughts from OWNERS. The reason for this is simple: OWNERS of these cars are actual buyers and aren't in the biz. They have NOTHING to lose by being straightforward with their opinions.

So when we saw that a Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG owner recently got behind the wheel of the all-new M4, we had to share it with you.

While we think the C63 AMG is a helluva fun vehicle to drive, it just doesn't stand up to the M4 in terms of performance. That said, check out what a C63 AMG owner thought of the all-new BMW below.

I had the opportunity to thoroughly test a new F82 M4 this afternoon. I was able to drive the car on both back roads and the highway. Traffic was minimal so I had plenty of room to have fun (within the bounds of the law, of course).

In short, I was floored (in a good way).

I'll beef up the quick impressions I'm about to share here later. Feel free to throw out any questions as I'd be happy to follow up. For the test drive, the steering was in "Sport" and the transmission was set to the most aggressive automatic setting. I also dabbled around with the "Manual" mode as well...
