This is the upcoming Porsche 991-generation 911Turbo Cabriolet – and for the first time we can see Porsche’s opening mechanism working.
Reports are suggesting that the cabrio 911 turbo model will keep its twin-turbo 3.8-liter flat-six engine but it will weigh about 50kg more compared to the coupe – about 1645kg. Therefore expect 0 to 60 to be achieved in about 3.3 – 3.4 seconds in Sport Plus mode – about 0.2 seconds slower compared to the coupe.
As expected the cabriolet will not offer a manual gearbox, only the seven speed PDK automatic transmission. In addition there will be no rear-wheel-drive model – Porsche will offer the 911 Turbo Convertible only in all-wheel drive form.
