The new Lexus RX will receive an update for year 2009. We can’t say many things about the test mule due to its heavy camouflage. The production will begin at the end of 2008 and will receive several modification, it will be a little longer that its predecesor and will get the same 3.5 liter V6 engine but will get a new 6 speed transmission. Why thats the new Lexus Crash Prevention System. Its a large metal container filled with dog feces. Studies show that it reduces the chance of a rear-end collision by 32%

Those wheels are bigger too. They be going for a longer, more sporting design for an extended version.

Horrible. Is that a Toyota badge they're trying to cover up? POS as usual.

david989 has to be the funniest poster on here. Most people think he is a total idiot, but man-oh-man, he is smarter than 99.9% of people on here for being able to dupe practically everybody into thinking that his is a serious Lexus-lover.

I am a serious Lexus lover. I pay for quality, not trash like European cars.

David989 is not funny he is just annoying, regardless of his love or hate for Lexus et al. His "act" is way past getting old no matter where his loyalties lie.

This isn't Will, it's Will_. Another poser on these boards. The lack of moderation on this site is truly pathetic. We could be having such good, civil discussions without the ridiculous posters that flock here due to the lack of mods. The boosting mechanism is a joke.

HyundaiHyundai - 8/10/2007 8:35:44 PM

Ironman, actually Will was banned but came back as Will_. Will_ (or Will if you so choose) was simply cracking a joke. From time to time you will see him do that. lol...

There is david999 (an actual poster) and david989 (a spin-off of david999 who is actually fooling people (of course, the more "highly educated" <in comparison to Japanese car fans> German fans) into believing that he actually is serious about what he types/says.

Taking all that into consideration, yes, the moderation here is AWFUL! You can get banned for completely frivolous reasons (making fun of 001s creepy comments and photos of a woman's legs), yet a mod will keep somebody around because they stir controversey (not the intellectual kind in the blogs.

All that aside, do you have anymore info on new Lexus products, Ironman? PLEASE tell me that the IS-F has more than 407 hp. Can you give a ball park? :D

Hyundai,

I read that with some interest. All my sources have yet to confirm any numbers on the IS and, to be honest, I'd trust them more than some guy at a ride&drive. As soon as I hear something I'll share it.

It still looks feminine with all that black camo on.

I'm just not a fan of Toyotas squirrely swoopy style.

You have to be smoking something really heavy if you think that a brand new Lexus is cheaper than a brand new BMW.

Considerring you are somebody who either owns, or wants to own an entry-level BMW, you should know that you can pick up a new 3er leased for less than a new IS leased.

Fake purse-buyers - I am sure - flock to all different luxury cars you elitist knob-job.

I don't know the last time I DIDN'T see a woman who didn't know how to drive, driving a 330ci or C320. Oh wait, maybe I should finish that with a question mark to show how well educated I am and how smart I am; that might give me some credibility(?)

People, this is not RX but a BMW X5, Porsche killer with
RWD and a 400+hp 5.0L v8.

Exactly. Porsche Cayenne is going to die a slow death because the new RX is so good. Imagine what the LX570 does to the Cayenne!

DONT LOOK NOW! But I think they copied the R-Class' shape by the looks of that low sloping (un-SUV like hood) Another product copied by Lexus.

If you take a moment and examine all the picture you'll notice that it's using the current generation's headlights, grill, and hood.

I wonder if thats the same RX mule found with old body panels just wrapped up, cause the shape of that looks too familiar with the current one. I doubt it will look anything like that photoshopped RX

At least they don't go around sporting an embarrassing name like Hyundai. I don't even think Hyundai qualifies as a vehicle. It's more like a Flinstones car than anything.

I thought Lexus said the RX would no longer share design schemes with the Highlander.
