The Tesla Model 3 will be revealed in March 2016 and go on sale a year later in mid-2017. The March 2016 debut would at instance make one think of a Geneva Motor Show debut, but that’s not going to happen. Tesla will host an individual unveiling event for the Model 3 later in the month.

The Model 3 will be capable of reaching 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in less than 4.1 seconds to run shoulders with the BMW M3. The possibility cannot be ruled out of Tesla offering the ‘Ludicrous’ mode upgrade option it announced for the Model S last week.

The batteries will be supplied from the Tesla Gigafactory located near Sparks, Nevada. The Model 3 will have a range of up to 300 miles (483 km) on a single charge.
