One of my favorite things about AutoSpies.com is that Agent 009 is always publishing the auto sales reports fresh from the wires at the beginning of every month. He does a great job passing along that information so we can all analyze and digest the numbers.
But now it's the perfect time to take a step back and analyze the Top 10 sellers for 2012.
Generally speaking, the usual suspects made the list. The Ford F-Series, Chevrolet Silverado, Toyota Camry, et al.
BUT there's something VERY interesting going on in the Top 10 this year. Notice anything?
Honda has taken over THREE(!) spots, namely: four, five and nine. Even bigger news? Two of the three didn't hold a Top 10 spot last year. These two are coming off the bench Jeremy Lin style.
And the one vehicle -- the Accord -- that was on last year's list made a significant jump from ninth place to fourth. That's a significant move.
So, what's generating this improvement for Honda? While the Civic was largely criticized and a revamped 2013 has arrived, it seems to be moving tons of product off showroom floors. The Accord has been handsomely updated for 2013 as well and the CR-V is all-new.
Is Honda set up to dominate 2013 with these three new vehicles?
