Toyota Vanguard V6 test drive
Identity
Toyota Is one of the most prolific car manufacturers in the world, whether it is on their home market or on any other, they have one of the widest range of vehicles to suit everyone's tastes. Despite this matter of fact there are still gaps to fill and new cars to make in order to make the whole range even more interesting and this is just what Toyota did, 6 months ago actually, by bringing a new SUV to the table. Placed between the RAV4 and the Harrier (Lexus RX), here comes the Vanguard!

Don't you mean... "to dilute the line-up"?

Surely it would cost a LOT of money to market a new car that would have little chance of making enough sales to cover that, no?

how does it fill the gap when you say it's a "RAV4 twin"???? sounds like that "new math" stuff. Toyota/Lexus Kool-aid anyone?

Between the Rav4 and RX? In North America, I would've figured the Highlander and 4Runner fit that bill price-wise (although barely).

XeroKool,
Destined to be Lexus' runt.

I'd rather Lexus leave the luxury-CUV market to lesser nameplates.

Why pay $10,000 more for an X1/GLK when they probably won't be able to out perform a V6 RAV4.

weren't there rumors earlier of a lexus version of the RAV4?

i submit that this is it. the grill already LOOKS like it belongs more on a lexus than a toyota. just needs a logo swap.

the 4Runner and Land Cruiser have their Lexus counterparts. this will complete the "set."
