If you pointed your browser at AutoSpies last night you would have come across a top story discussing the all-new teaser image that Nissan passed around the other day.
To keep it brief, essentially Nissan has brought forth a dark image of a car we've already shown you a couple images of. Called the sport sedan concept, it's pretty obvious what Nissan is after here.
Now the thing that gets us a bit curious is how sporty Nissan will make it. That's because it can do a Maxima replacement, which is desperately needed, or it can possibly do a GT-R four-door coupe. The latter seems a bit far fetched but considering the amazing capability of the GT-R coupe, and that there are a slew of 550+ horsepower four-door coupes on the market, it doesn't seem completely irrational.
Of course one has to ask themself: Who would pay $100,000 for a Nissan sedan? Why NOT badge it as an Infiniti? This is why I am thinking it is most likely the next-gen Maxima.
BUT, when you get a GOOD look at this image after Agent 001 did his handiwork, you'll see it has A LOT of GT-R cues, from the clamshell roof design and bulging hood, it's a very aggressive take what a sedan should be.
Once again, I urge you to take a look at the OTHER teaser images shown to the press at an event this past summer. You'll see the rear 3/4 and side profile that'll definitely make you wonder if Nissan really is thinking about a GT-R four-door coupe.
