Tonight is a big night for Ford. That's because it has revealed the 2020 Ford Explorer and is officially kicking off the 2019 Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS) public reveals.

I think they're off to a helluva start considering the major reveals are happening on January 13. They're ahead by a few days.

While Agent 001 is snapping the Explorer on Ford Field as I type this, I just wanted to provide you with freshest images from the reveal. If you missed the livestream, no problem. We've got a small batch of photos that will give you an idea of what transpired.

The two sentence summary: Ford leveraged a really trick floor-based projection to bring the Explorer to life rather than simply roll it out onto an NFL stadium's blank canvas. In addition, the Blue Oval made its mission clear in that it is happy to help folks get back on the roads to explore this great country.

Lastly, if you want the chance to go on your own road trip behind the wheel of the 2020 Ford Explorer, check out the below. Use your social media channels to post a road trip memory and use the hash tag #RoadTripRewind. By doing so you enter yourself in a contest to be one of the first to travel in the all-new Explorer.

Good luck, Spies!
