You have to give it up for the automaker's marketing departments.

They sure know how to tease the hell out of an all-new car.

The latest example is the Jaguar XE, which is being revealed slowly. Typically this works out, but we've seen it blow up in company's faces before. And given that Jaguar is having trouble moving units of anything that's not an F-Type, let's hope that doesn't happen.

For the FIRST time, the company is showing us the guts of the all-new XE, but it's done it through a virtual X-ray machine. Essentially, Jaguar is just showing us the blueprints of the interior space.

As noted in the clip below, JLR is happy to tell us all about the car's new infotainment system that has an eight-inch screen. Of course the leaping cat notes smartphone integration and applications that will be offered. All we know is it better have much better software than the current crop of JLR products, which can be laggy and not exactly intuitive.

An innovation seen in the XE is the all-new laser head-up display. If you've ever had one you probably know that the current generation of HUDs probably could use a crisper and sharper projection method. Jaguar thinks it has the answer.
