The advertising business is an interesting one, that's for sure. Although some people say as long as a spot gets noticed, it's job has been done, I am not sure that's entirely the case.

I will note that I have absolutely ZERO knowledge or credibility when it comes to advertising, but I have watched every aired of Mad Men until this point. So, I will check any informed thoughts at the door.

This is good because rather than evaluate if Matthew McConaughey's was effective, we have something better to talk about. Sketch comedy show, Saturday Night Live, used Jim Carrey to poke fun of the the advertisement that's gained the attention of Conan O'Brien and Ellen DeGeneres.

Come to think of it, I don't think Lincoln has been this relevant in years. Perhaps this was the entire point after all.
