This is quite impressive.

It's in French but you can clearly see how effective Bose's new active suspension is. And there is a surprise at the end. Instead of using buffers and springs, this prototype is simply using magnets. That means that as soon as the car "feels" a bump, the wheel lifts itself to avoid it and when the car turns or brakes, the suspension remains completely stiff, giving remarkable handling. The system can even be set to "lean" towards the inside of the corner like a motorcycle to give even more traction in corners. This means that this suspension could give a car incredible handling while having a ride comfort level superior to what any car avaliable today can offer.

Interesting to look at. I like the part at the end of the clip where the Lexus LS jumps over the bump. What does Bose think they are creating. Remindes me of Knight Rider, The Dukes of Hazard or Blues Brothers movies. Ye Ha.

Yeah, I've been keeping up with this for the past couple years as well...
Definitely check these few demos out on their site... in the right hand column labeled "Jump to Details"...
Simply amazing...

Yep I read about this a while back. The system is too heavy/large/expensive to be used currently. Not sure about any developments since.
