If you have been living under a rock this week, you may have missed news that the all-new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has been self immolating. Obviously, this is a major issue.

In fact, this has led to a major recall of the company's phone.

According to the latest information I've heard, if you have a Note 7 you've been instructed to power it off and not to charge the unit. If you need further proof of what may be possible if you do not comply immediately, take it from a Florida-based Jeep Grand Cherokee owner.

His HEMI-equipped Grand Cherokee burned pretty much into smithereens.

As this is a relatively fluid situation there's no word on how this will shake out. We assume the gentleman's insurance will cover the cost.

Fire officials and Samsung have launched investigations after a St. Petersburg, Florida, family claimed a Samsung Galaxy Note7 phone exploded in their Jeep and ignited a fire that destroyed the vehicle.
