Although BMW's M GmbH division has grown by leaps and bounds over the past decade, the BMW Motorsport arm still can't bring itself to build an M7. It's sort of confusing, really.

That's because the blue and white have broken all the original "M rules."

All-wheel drive adorns its M sport-utility vehicles and manual transmissions are falling by the wayside. So, why not build an über M car?

Apparently it's a hard sell in Munich.

Having said that, the company is more than happy to maintain its relationship with ALPINA who is still building sporty luxury vehicles on its own. ALPINA is technically an auto manufacturer that has partnered with BMW to distribute its wares through BMW's dealer network.

While we're familiar with the last-gen B7 and the latest B6 Gran Coupe, it's time for the all-new B7 to emerge. ALPINA just released this teaser clip that should get your juices flowing.
