Although it may have seemed silly at its debut, the original Ford F-150 Raptor was a genius invention. What? A baja-inspired, dune hopping, pick-up truck for the masses?
It seemed almost a bit too silly.
Nonetheless, the Raptor spread like wildfire. Hell, it forced the major players to follow suit. Whether you’re in a beach town, an urban jungle or in the back woods, buyers are loving the more rugged and powerful F-150. The owners I find particularly comical are the city dwellers gunning it up 5th Avenue in their blacked-out Raptors.
Since we saw the major debut of the second-gen F-150 Raptor Concept, we’ve been awaiting more information about the production-spec vehicle. At this point, it’s time for the Blue Oval to start letting out little bits of information to keep us chomping at the bit.
The first installment is a video detailing an all-new driving mode for the second-gen Raptor. If you’re familiar with Ford’s latest SUVs and trucks they’ve ditched the differentials for an easier-to-use set of driving modes. In addition to Normal, Sport, Weather, Mud/Sand, Rock Crawl, the Raptor will add Baja Mode.
Considering that’s what the Raptor is — more or less — built for, this should come as no surprise.

The all-new Ford F-150 Raptor features six terrain modes designed to handle the most demanding terrains. From off-road rock crawling and desert running to on-road sport mode, Raptor is ready for any type of driving.
