VW considering diesel Golf (Rabbit) for US
As the Volkswagen Jetta TDI returns to the US with a new powertrain in the spring of 2008, the German auto maker is looking for ways to expand its clean-diesel lineup.

The Volkswagen Jetta Clean Diesel TDI will be powered by a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 140 horsepower with 235 lb-ft of torque. Wierd thing is, the 2.0 TDI in the UK VW Golfs produce 170bhp so i do not understand why the USA models only produce 140bhp

this should be reliabile and have good quality. anyways get rid of the rabbit name, doesnt make any sense to change the nameplate of the legendary golf.

but I live in the US, I'm not surprised if it was very reliabile since VW is more a very respected company there. but the US is a different situation. not saying theyre bad cars, but repairs and etc arent close to my budget. as do most german cars.
