According to reports, Subaru is not planning on sitting still with its all-new BRZ Coupe. That's right, there's MORE in the pipeline.

A publication recently spoke with Subaru's Global Marketing Manager, Atoshi Atake, who hinted at some interesting developments.

While he says that Subaru will not be able to fit a turbocharger to the BRZ, it is exploring other ways to give the car a boost in power. Take, for example, modifying its exhaust, intake, while installing lightweight components like a carbon fiber roof or hood, lightweight wheels, etc.

Though this sounds very good to us, what is even MORE interesting were his comments when he was asked about a convertible. Atake didn't deny the possibility but hinted it would be easy to achieve and, in addition, a helluva looker.

That said, WHICH would be more interesting to YOU: A BRZ STI, or a BRZ Convertible? Perhaps both combined into one product?

Subaru has given the biggest hint yet that it is developing a hot STI version of its BRZ sports car – and there's a roadster on the way too.

Talking to Auto Express at the launch of the new rear-wheel drive coupe, global marketing manager Atoshi Atake, said: "We have already had many requests from interested customers regarding a faster version. Let me say this - we will certainly satisfy our customers. We are already working on a faster version."
