The BMW 3-Series has set the luxury benchmark for decades. It's the go-to choice for a varied demographic.

It's aspirational. It can be a daily driver. It can be a beater.

But, like everything, the 3-Series has aged and we're not convinced the four-door formula is going to be strong going forward. The Bavarians need it to be though. That's because the 3'er is its top selling product.

Clearly, BMW has decided to go with an evolution rather than a revolution and played it safe in its all-new 3. Another questionable move.

"Why fix something that ain't broke," some will say. Well, when everyone's swinging for the fences you have to adjust your strategy and deliver the goods.

While we've been lukewarm on the all-new 3, we wanted to see what YOU make of the FIRST video review of the all-new 3-Series. Is it getting your attention? Is it just more of the same ol', same ol'?

What say you, Spies?

BMW has sold more than 15 million examples of the 3-Series since the car’s 1970s introduction. It is both talisman and bread & butter for the brand - and is now entering a seventh full model generation.

The new ‘G20’ version, on sale in the UK in March 2019, will come with a familiar choice of engines & trims. Watch our video review for impressions of the big-selling 320d on the road, and of the range-topping M340i xDrive on track at Portimao.
