TurboSpyder submitted on 8/10/2008 Official AutoSpies Timestamp: 3:48:24 AM

By Andrew Noakes First drive 16 June 2008 17:16 Advanced engineering wrapped in ‘aquatic’ styling made the Mercedes F700 concept car one of the stars of the Frankfurt motor show in September 2007, and CAR has been itching to put its technologies to the test ever since. Flip-over, cork-faced seats and a navigation system run by a virtual assistant called Gloria are novel enough, but we’re really here to find out about the revolutionary DiesOtto engine and Pre-Scan suspension. Does it cost $20,000 per year to maintain the Nissan GT-R?

TurboSpyder submitted on 5/23/2008 Official AutoSpies Timestamp: 1:15:36 PM

"I went to one of the authorized dealers here in Montreal, i spoke to the GM and inquired about leaving a deposit for the GTR, they said they take 5000$ and the first year allocations are sold, but i would get one in a year. But then he wanted to make something clear before we put something on paper, apparently he was told that the 'mandatory' service for the GTR at 12 000km will cost anywhere from 18 000$ to 20 000$ which includes but not limited to 'new tires, tranny service, engine service, suspension adjustment, new brakes all around etc'". Road and Track Comparo of the Audi RS 4, BMW M3 Sedan, Lexus IS F and Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG

TurboSpyder submitted on 4/30/2008 Official AutoSpies Timestamp: 3:26:07 AM

The late, great Mark Donohue is credited with saying, "It will never have enough power until I can spin the wheels at the end of the straightaway in high gear. " This response, to the Porsche engineers of the Can-Am-dominating 917-30, was tongue-in-cheek (the car's turbocharged flat-12 may have produced as much as 1400 bhp, depending on boldness with the boost control), but it's a sentiment that echoes through the engineering halls of Audi, BMW, Lexus and Mercedes-Benz when it comes to their production cars.
