The guys at Edmund’s Inside Line traveled all the way to Japan to test a privately owned Nissan GT-R on an airstrip outside Tokyo. The Result? The GT-R is faster than what even Nissan says.

The video was released just a couple of weeks after its debut in japan so no aftermarket parts were released yet. This video is quite old i saw it like 2 weeks ago

We already know Edmunds loves the GTR That's not to say anything negative about the car but rather to point in the direction of reading unbiased opinions as well .

actually every reviewer who ever tested the car (top gear, winding road, motortrend, sun, evo,carmagazine_ basically everybody who tested it has been impressed) all of the major american and british press have been impressed by its power, with one or two criticism here and there (stiff ride)

i tried not to buy into the hype machine for this car, i mean i knew it would be sweet, but this video really impresses me. good for nissan. i hope the trickle down of this technology into the nissan line will benefit the company all together.

just a thought

So how long do you think it will take before other car manufacturers offer launch control on their vehicle. What Edmunds fails to mention is that the Porsce 911 0-60 time is 3.5s w/o launch control...I'm just wondering how better that would be with launch control. The GT-R is really good...but I'm gonna wait awhile before I call it great...it has proved its performance but it hasn't proved its reliability. I noticed that they said launch control was damaging to the car!...that's not good!

At 70K...unbeatable. Not even the Z06 will match it.

The ultimate best sports car, because it is most user friendly and on normal roads, will even put a scare on to a ferrari or even more exotics, because with their low ride and super stiff suspension, those cars are pretty useless on roads with pits and bumps. And we all know how impractical the exotic supercars are. I know i'll be called a maniac for such outrageous claims, but i think i will take the Godzilla over even a F430, let alone a Porsche 911, well quite because of the lower price, while getting similar performance figures.
