The vehicles are similar in size to the Ford Edge and Lincoln Nautilus but will be built on the company's battery-electric vehicle platform, the sources said.

Both will be 2023 models, with production starting in late 2022 or early 2023. Ford has asked suppliers to prepare for production of up to 65,000 units per year, one of the sources said...

There comes a point in time when I have expectations from AUTOSPIES for information beyond which I can get from a five year old child - WE all have been inundated with the constant barrage of Tesla items that have generally been of no value.

But in this case - this information is something we could say about virtually any full line car manufacturer - they ALL are going to bring out Evs - all are going to bring out mid-size Evs, and it is likely they will spread the cost of them over a number of their "brands". Yep - they are going to use their EV platforms (Most have announced same). You could have replaced the word "FORD" with "GM", or "VW" and using their brands we know that BOTH of them will also be producing mid-size EV Suvs some entry level brand - and some higher brands. In fact - I'll go out on a limb, and say that GM and VW are likely to produce even more than just two different brands.

I expect Autospies to tell me something I did not know - normally you are good at finding that stuff and I appreciate many of the things you do. Lately though - it must be vacation time!
