Volvo Expands Subscription Program To Include More Models

Volvo is expanding its Care by Volvo subscription program shortly after it came under fire from the California New Car Dealers Association and the California Department of Motor Vehicles.

Vehicle "subscription programs" are the latest accounting gimmick to juice retail sales (at least on paper). Its a new twist on the "service loaner" system - where dealers "buy" service loaners (or are forced to buy them) and then sell them as CPO with 4,000 miles on them.

Even Bentley has a subscription program now. Its called "Bentley On Demand" and can even be accessed thru an App. Email for info... ondemand@bentley-usa.com

Volvo is seeing dealers fold. Volvo thinks they are a Mercedes brand, when really they are a Buick brand. Their products just aren't compelling for the price of admission.

It is not a coincidence that they created not only a new brand but also a new company with Polestar.
No dealers to argue with when they sell those cars online.
