Why Are California's Progressive Consumers Are Failing Miserably On EV Adoption?
California, which is seen as the leader in electric vehicle adoption in the US, is still nowhere near its goal to have 5 million zero-emission vehicles on the road by the end of the next decade.

The US is already lagging behind many other countries when it comes to electric vehicle adoption.

In terms of volume, the US is buying a lot of EVs because it’s such a large market, but the number is nothing compared to the amount of gas-powered vehicles being added on US roads each year.

Wrong, EVs make sense for 99% of commutes in the US today.

While I have no love for the man, you have to recognize that a former President has certain security requirements that can't be met in a more typical home. Certainly that home sounds over the top, but there has to be room for the security that goes with the job, even after they leave office.

Consumer's/anyone with a brain knows that electric vehicle and the whole idea of it is not better for the environment. From producing the electricity at the plant, mining the batteries and losing those earth resources/materials to make the battery. plus the added cost to the vehicle. And if someone recently purchased a vehicle, what sell that car just to have an electric vehicle?

People who live in apartments, which is alot, don't have a home charging solution in addition to the cost of the vehicle.

Why? Because the majority of California liberals are HYPOCRITES.

I like the sound of a V8. Plus im still paying electricity to charge an EV. My electricity comes from the Edison Co - not the Sun.

Right now - they simply do not make enough EVs in price ranges that the average person can afford to make a dent in that "GOAL" Figure. California residents (The goal is not politically separated) - just as the rest of the world - do no have the infrastructure to support that number as well - especially the LA BAsin where they already do brownouts in the summer heat because they cannot handle the loads needed.

However - in the next three or four years - that will not be the case as quite a number of manufacturers will have product on the market. And Competition tends to moderate prices.

Still - if we looked at all of the GOALS that politicians have set for the USA over the years - It took a concerted expensive publicly financed effort by the Federal Government to get us to the Moon - and we have not gone further with manned spaceflight as well. ANd Mexico is NOT paying for the wall either.

In CA, they are literally dumping excess electricity in the summertime because there is a surplus of juice thanks to renewables. That will be fixed when $billions worth of grid storage goes online over the next couple of years. There is plenty for all.

The only reason any of my CA coworkers have BEVs is to commute solo in the carpool lane. For all other purposes, they drive their internal combustion engine cars.

They must have really crappy BEVs. I'm guessing Leafs or Bolts.

Sea levels rising is just more bullshit propagated by the brain-dead greenie sheeples or Tesla drivers as I call them. Ice contracts when melting so even if all the Poles & burgs melted it would not raise the sea level. Its all just more fake news bullshit designed to make us comply to by the fake gods of Al Gore and David Suzuki as they preach to us little peeps as they jet-set the world on their private jets as they travel between mega mansions. But if Hussien does get washed away out to see -no problem there either!

I meant the post above to reply to FAQMD but it didn't post to the correct position. Fake HTML coding?
