SPIED! ALL NEW Land Rover Defender CAUGHT Totally UNCOVERED Exposing It's 'Elements'!
Looks like the all new Land Rover Defender has been spied but a sharp eyed instagrammer who goes by the name 'Shedlocktwothousand'.

Supposedly, it was shot on the set of the next James Bond movie.

Please share with us a few 'ELEMENTS' of your thoughts on the new Defender...

That roofline just doesn't look right at all.

Agreed and Honda wore it better on the Element. This just in G Class execs are laughing right now and popping champagne in celebration of continued dominance in high end SUVs

gone are the rugged looks that Land Rovers have pioneered for decades, the diamond plate on the front fenders are just dumb, you would have to be shoeless and have a child's foot to stop from destroying the paint on the fenders. This was JLR's big opportunity to show that the design team with no oversight from Ford was up to the task of shepherding the brand into the future...this is neither boxy or aggressive looking enough to stir the visual loins of the would be customers the world over... I look for JLR to belong to a new owner as TATA is not getting the job done on quality, or design... the last great hope, up in flames.. elements, missing all the good ones.

While English cars and reliability generally do not go hand in hand - Land Rover reliability is even worse than JEEP - and much higher prices.

THey would need to come up with one really compelling design to interest me in one - and I don't think that will happen.

Poor choices. The new G-Wagon is a much better SUV than the old model, very different dimensions, but it looks very much the same. Everyone is happy. Land Rover could have done the same thing but they chose not to. This is not a Defender, but another SUV posing as heritage. Much like the car Acura came out with but put the NSX name on it or the BMW now called a Supra.

Is it me or does it look like it's wearing a ball cap?

Will look much better with two-tone roof when they show the official shots.

@Agent001- Yes it will, but it still looks more LR4 than like a new Defender. Swing and miss.

Love it! Distinctive roofline. A modern interpretation rather than a nostalgia-soaked time capsule. By all appearances a worthy successor to the legendary Defender!

Looks like it was designed 15 years ago.

The LR4 should just be re-introduced.

The old Discovery/LR4 was so good off road that it actually rendered the old Defender (discontinued about 5 years) ago totally obsolete.

The LR4 will be the one Land Rover that will be nominally collectible 5-10 years from now - snap up the mall-cruiser 'cream-puffs' now.

As much as I feel a bit of disappointment, I've got a smirk on my face because Honda should be flattered. I've been hoping that Honda would revive the Element, but LR beat them to the punch with a much higher price tag.

BUT ACTUALLY, this design is more reminiscent of the previous generation Defenders than the Element. So, LR is keeping continuity

The Element had numerous design flaws. Because it was rushed to market, it was not Honda at its best.

as long as it's just as or more capable, than the last Defender, it will sell generously globally.

and if they offer tons of interior features & options, it will sell well in the US despite not being the best-looking SUV on the block.
