Woman on METH Gives Kia Salesman NOT So “OPTIMA-L” Ride Of His Life

Kasandra Ayala, 32, from Spokane, was arrested on Saturday and charged with kidnapping, taking a motor vehicle without permission, and several counts of assault.

Been told test drives most perilous and dangerous part of a salesman's job. I never buy a car unless I see how it performs going over a certain bump at speed on a tight curve near me. Tells me all I need to know about a vehicle's suspension and handling. It can take a salesman by surprise though completely safe.

Meth is everywhere and it is sheer evil. What this shitbag of a person did to the salesman was NOT just kidnapping, it was an act of domestic terrorism against the sales person. For our new cars, we have a set test drive route which we communicate to the potential customer going on the test drive. Used car lots are a special kind of terrible because you get so many deviant assholes staggering onto the lot among the legitimate buyers. But new and used, we reserve the right to not allow a test drive.

Just a thought. When a salesman goes to training to drive new cars, a breathalyzer test is given. Why not give one to a customer who wants to test drive.

Oddly I was thinking--based on this story--it would be wise to train staff in drug and alcohol detection.
