BMW Reveals Limited 750 Unit Run Of The M4 Edition M Heritage
Limited to 750 units, the new M4 Edition M Heritage is based on the existing M4 Coupe and runs a standard twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder engine with 444bhp and 550Nm of torque.

BMW says the new celebratory model will be sold in all existing BMW markets up to April 2020 in the choice of three exterior colours chosen to resemble those of BMW Motorsport’s familiar tri-colour logo: Laguna Seca Blue, Velvet Blue metallic and Imola red.

These ultra limited runs upset many more potential buyers while satisfying only a few. Great for profits, not so good for shut out enthusiasts.

...but I'm pretty sure that a 'paint package' doesn't show up in the resale value at all?

Just pure cash to the bottom line at point of sale, a rip-off to the consumer who I guess was willing to pay $1,000's extra for a different shade of red.

Too bad they did not take the opportunity to do a bit more here with a bump in performance... celebrate with something like a 30th anniversary of Johnny Cecotto's DTM wins. It seems like this is just a celebration of paint and interior packages.
