Muscle Car Owners Are Flocking From Power And Speed To THIS?
When buying a new car, many consumers find closure in offering their old vehicle to the dealership as a trade-in. Not only does it rid the consumer of having to deal with a private sale, but it can also take a huge chunk out of the cost of a new automobile or perhaps absolve the cost of an upside-down loan. But for Jeep buyers, trade-ins are more than just financial—they've proven to be the gateway from a myriad of different automotive segments into one particular platform: the Wrangler.

While most Americans shop around in the same segment when trading in, that's not the case for new Jeep owners. In a recent interview with Muscle Cars and Trucks, Jeep's North American Director Scott Tallon revealed that outside of repeat Jeep customers, its biggest trade-ins don't come from other trucks or vehicles with enhanced off-road capabilities. Instead, they're coming from muscle cars.

The psychotic Democrat party has brainwashed the young people that in 11 years, the world is going to end. The fear automobiles and oil. Latest Democrat professor and other insane liberals advocates that eating human flesh will save the planet from climate change.
Young people are dangerously bamboozled into believing the insanity and idiocy of the left who are only interested in power and control of the people.

Despite the insane post above by @skytop (medication?) I think these family guys as PugProud suggests, may be a little disappointed with a Jeep vs the car they were once driving. Bouncing all the way to Grandma's house vs riding in a sedan or Minivan. If you want to drive a cool car either get paid $$ or don't get married. A minivan means a happy wife and a happy life.

CANADIANCOMMENTS, your comment is incoherent (medication?) Where did Pugproud suggest these buyers may be disappointed with a Jeep? Driving a "cool car" i.e. something distinctive based on personal tastes doesn't necessarily require a big budget. The Jeep is one such example, which is why it's a popular alternative for those coming from "cool" muscle cars. As for your minivan cheerleading, GTFOH

@MBCLS07 - PP suggested the cause of the shift in vehicles was families and marriage. This shift is as old as cars themselves. What don't you get? It is also well known that Jeeps are great offroad but suck as day to day vehicles. This is not new. If you have a wife and kids (maybe a dog) a minivan is just easier on everyone. You can fight it for a year or two or just make your wife happy.

Agree if you are limiting it to a Jeep Wrangler (although the new one may be a much more civilized drive, haven't had an opportunity to ride/drive one yet), however many of their other models are just fine for trips to Grandmas...

Jeff - And with all of the many and expensive cars I now have - I find myself using the Mini-Van a lot more than I thought I would. It is just about the perfect car for a person with lots of Kids/grandkids/GreatGrandkids/FosterKids and a large family - It can hold a 4x8 sheet of plywood with the hatch closed. The seats do not have to be removed (Stow and go is really nice). ANd I will soon be leaving on an extended camping trip across the Northwest USA National Parks and returning through the south. On the Interstate I have no problem getting over 30MPG - and while it is not a 4x4 - I will not be getting into that type of situation that would require it.

For years - I always had a full size station wagon - and I believe the Mini-Van is the successor to that - more than the raised 4x4 station wagons we call Crossovers are (Find one to hold that piece of Plywood inside). ANd frankly - I don't really use it for situations where I want to be "seen" - I have other things for that.

Is it possible for anyone to post on this site anymore without bringing politics into it? I recognize that the site itself will sometimes make it political with their post title and/or initial commentary, but it's getting old to see the comments instantly veer towards one political extreme or the other.

Come on people, let's act like grownups. Even if both political sides can't seem to at times.

While I share your point of view we unfortunately live in a culture that has brought politics into every part of our lives...sports, autos, schools, movies, music, humor, religion, social gatherings, etc. I subscribe to 10 automobile magazines from around the world and cannot remember the last time I read one where a political statement wasn't made somewhere between the covers. I am totally with you.

I can see it. People outgrow their sports/sporty cars but still want to maintain a certain image. Mainstream crossovers and SUVs today are not the way. Even compact SUVs aren’t the way. And because the days when the 4Runner wasn’t an eyesore, the Pathfinder wasn’t a wimp, the Rodeo was okay, the Monterey was a choice, the Blazer sold like crazy, and the Exploder wasn’t family-fied are over, there are very limited choices.

Muscle car owners were people who liked to work on their own cars a bit. It was simple to turn a wrench. The old classic parent/child project. Can't really do that with modern vehicles. The Jeep Wrangler you can. Its a blank slate to create the type of platform you want. From Overlanding, Rock Crawler, even the mighty Mall Crawler with the big wheels.

Owners can wrench on their own and be creative with it, and that is the appeal of the Jeep. Shoot, even although expensive, Hemi conversions.

its a great platform, you can get a manual as well very easily.

Plus, don't forget there is a huge community of aftermarket, trail groups to go off-roading/trail runs.

THe problem with MOST cars of today - is that there is a lot less an individual can do by himself to work on these vehicles. You really need a lot of knowledge that was ONCE not thought of as that of a mechanic -such as Computer programming. THere are a multitude of sensors all over - and I have found that - especially with Multiplexed wiring - unless you really research what you are doing - you can literally cause havoc with a cars electrical system. Owners cannot really "wrench" as freely on their own today.

But back when the car had ONE vacuum hose (Before even power brakes) - a person could literally build their own car. YOu could switch different brands of engines and transmissions. Those were the fun times. WE were too busy building our cars to listen to McCarthy - politics did not enter the discussion.

It's funny how Mdarrginer is complaining about bigotry when he makes personal comments towards people on this site all the time. The political views you write about on this site are a textbook example of bigotry. I'm sure in person you are a fantastic human being.

PUGPROUD you are absolutely right, times are a little ridiculous. Can't really go anywhere without someone bringing up politics. Unfortunate that the keyboard warriors on this site make it worse.

FACT: I have said very little politically here for two months now just noting CTRL + V spew.

If you look at the volume of ALT-Left spew here as measured by volume of words, you will find that Alt-Left intolerance is 75-90% of the flow of text.

The difference between us is this: You call my political views "bigotry" simply because you disagree with them but not because they actually are bigotry. I on the other hand call out bigots because they ARE bigots.

Thus to take me to task via accusing me of behaviors I have not done is a perfect example of bullying.

I'm smarter than you. I'm better educated than you, but here's the irony, you're far more arrogant than I am.

Namaste. To quote Jesse Pinkman: "Trump is YOUR President, bitch!"
