#IAA: That's One SPICY Meatball! The All-new, Fiery Audi RS7 Has Arrived
Audi's press release follows:

High Performance and Innovative Design:
The all-new Audi RS 7 Sportback

  • New high-performance Sportback the first to feature a wide body

  • Good-looking and suitable for everyday use: coupé-like grand tourer design

  • V8 twin turbo: 4.0 TFSI producing 441 kW (600 metric hp) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft)

The new Audi RS 7 Sportback (combined fuel consumption in l/100 km: 11.6 – 11.4 (20.3 – 20.6 US mpg); combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 265 – 261 (426.5 – 420.0 g/mi)) marks the model’s second generation and is more unique than ever before. At the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt, Audi Sport GmbH will be presenting the RS 7 Sportback as a wide-bodied five-seater for the first time, also showcasing the improved performance and efficiency delivered by a mild hybrid system. The RS 7 Sportback will be arriving at dealerships in Germany and other European countries in the end of 2019.

The Audi RS7 is a winner.

It's busy looking. but not beautiful. It's gaudy, but not beautiful. The shape is generic like an Accord or a FusNata. The previous A7 was gorgeous. This is a disaster.

Agree... their designs are perhaps “crisper” but nothing like the voluptuous previous model...

At least they got rid of the tacked on tablet style infotainment system and put it in the dash where it belongs.

The front of the RS6 would've made this a much better looking car. Those intakes, or whatever they are, under the headlights are awful.

The blackout trim helps this car. It de-emphasizes the least attractive parts of the design: overly elongated upper window line and overly large grille. While it looks much better than the non-RS, it still just feels dowdy and bulbous.

The dual screens in Audi are world better than the cheaper Acura ones. Give them a try and you will be impressed.

As for the design of the new RS7, its chisled and more masculine in a way then the current RS7 which is still very attractive and sexy. The black optics package on this Rs7 is not my taste but I prefer the silver satin finish with the carbon on the front.

Audi's new design direction sucks.
