Turns Out You Can't Buy Anything Close To The Tesla Model S Slated To Run The Nurburgring

Elon Musk has just shed more light into the aggressive Model S that was spotted yesterday near the famous German track. Apparently, it’s a ‘chassis prototype’ fitted with their new ‘Plaid’ powertrain, which will sit above the existing 100D with the Ludicrous mode in the model’s range.

Tesla’s CEO also said that the red car with the wide arches is fitted with seven seats, adding that they are gunning for the fastest seven-seat car record.

So when his P100D+ doesn't break Porsches' record, he can still lay claim to being the fastest 7-seat car. And ALL of the Tesla fanatics will praise this accomplishment.

"supposedly" Whatever. The Taycan as a pre-production model so not exactly a stock car either. Again these are 5,000lb+ sedans going down a race track. If Tesla wants to send a P100D+R down the track fine. Porsche can come back with a Taycan GT5RS. Onward we go...

Porsche is designed to handle the challenging conditions a sports sedan may encounter. Tesla is designed solely to brag about range in ideal conditions.

Or brag about having the quickest 4-door 0-60 car.

They can brag that they are less likely to die in a S or 3 and any other car of that size.

Why are you all Tesla haters so negative?
Why do you have to put down every Tesla World changing achievement?
With the fastest 7 seater in the World they absolutely smashed their competition.
Even the best cars competing with it can not stand a chance now.
Not even a Toyota Siena or Honda Odyssey can compete, Chrysler Pacifica would not even know where the Tesla went.
Outstanding effort by Tesla!!!!
