Impressed? Tesla Releases Video Of Model S Testing At The Nürburgring Race Track
A new video of Tesla testing its new modified Model S on the Nürburgring racetrack has been released, and it shows the electric car shredding some tires ahead of a record attempt.

As we previously reported, following the recent launch of the Porsche Taycan, Tesla CEO Elon Musk appears to be on a mission to show that Tesla’s vehicles are still the highest-performing EVs available today.

I mean she’s been out since 2012, nothing a little Botox/nip tuck can’t fix...

Lmao I do too but if Porsche gets embarrassed by a company that’s been out for less than a decade...I’ll keep my extra 100 grand and just wait for the next gen Model S.

Tesla has nothing to lose here, the fact that ppl are mentioning them next to Porsche and Porsche mentioning Tesla themselves is a win for Tesla.

"Lmao I do too but if Porsche gets embarrassed by a company that’s been out for less than a decade."

Well, Tesla has done nothing yet to embarrass Porsche yet, except sending a modified car to try to run the ring and cancel there Orignal attempt date.

The fact that Porsche mentioned Tesla is a win for Model S, a car that’s been out for 2012 is getting additional press because Porsche compared its latest model to it....

Tesla just simply showed up to the track, whether it’s tomorrow, next week, next month, the fact that they are in this conversation speaks volumes.

They didn’t have to produce a sedan that gets to 60 in 2.5 seconds but they did and the rest are simply playing catch up

Do you know how much Porsche/Volkswagen has spent on marketing/media events/promotions for the Taycan in the last few months LMAO it’s hilariously ridiculous

Do u know how much Tesla paid for Porsche to mention their name and make the Model S relevant again? ZERO

No company is investing in improving ICE powertrains, all the innovation dollars are going towards EVs. You won't see many new ICE cars being built in 10 years.

Follow the billions, every major manufacturer is putting their future investments in EVs.

ICE programs are being trimmed down and headcount are shifting towards batteries and electric motors for pretty much all but boutique manufacturers.

How about Porsche announcing that the Macan will be transitioned to EV only. Also the hybrid still uses the same tech available today, where is the innovation there? ICE motors have hardly changed since downsizing and turbocharging became all the rage.

That's not the "Plaid" new version with three motors tested at Laguna Seca, that's an existing production model. Not sure they even put a roll cage inside.

So in 7 years of production, Tesla hasn't had one decent lap at the ring, ever.

Pretty pathetic.

Not really. Never tried before. Most cars don't have lap times at the 'ring.

More to life than 0-60. And folks would take a Ferrari over a Telsa. Kinda sad that the Telsa cant even make it around the Nurburgring at race speeds without breaking.
