URUS KILLER? Ferrari Steps Up The Development Pace On V12 Powered Purosangue SUV
Due in 2022 and being developed under the codename Purosangue, which translates as ‘thoroughbred’, the Ferrari SUV promises to be like no other performance or ultra-luxury SUV on the market thanks to positioning unique from the likes of the Aston Martin DBX, Bentley Bentayga, Lamborghini Urus and Rolls-Royce Cullinan.

The SUV, also known internally as ‘175’, is one of 15 new Ferraris announced last year and set to launch by 2023. They will be built off two bespoke architectures giving two distinct model lines, one for mid-engined supercars, such as the imminent F8 Tributo, and the other for front-mid-engined GT-style cars, including the new SUV.

It truly saddened my heart to see a Ferrari SUV.

Skytop, that's what everyone said about the first Porsche SUV. Now Porsche sells 4x the number of SUVs as it does 911s.

Times are changing, and Ferrari is going to have a couple year long waiting list for this vehicle. I may need to order one, as long as it isn't as ugly as the Lusso.

As long as sport cars/coupes are still going to be made then they can pump out all the soccer mom crossovers/suvs they want.

I see a 4 or 5 door high riding car with a roofline that is even more squished than the Urus. The storage area will hold 4 lunch boxes and not much more. But it will be stupid fast with a V12 and some hybrid assist.

Not interested in the Ferrari, but I can't wait to get my hands on Aston Martin's warmed over version of the MB GLC!

@mre30- Although it would have been the easiest thing to do, if you research it the DBX is using DB11 underpinnings. And the standard adhesive/rivet approach to Aston mfg. It will borrow more than other cars from Mercedes with air suspension, engine, transmission as well interior tech.
