In case you haven’t heard, over 46,000 GM hourly employees are on strike across the United States. The UAW called the strike when its contract with GM expired at midnight on Sunday, and three days later there’s no end in sight. The strike is estimated to cost the expansive Detroit-based automaker approximately $50 million each day in earnings, but there could be an added cost to performance fans outside the company – a delay in C8 Corvette production.

February was when the best forecast for the C8 arriving centered on so this will be fun.

Meanwhile C7s are finding homes.

Strike aside, why is GM dragging out the C8 public sale date? Are they still fixing bugs (ala Tesla) or is it a big marketing ploy to build the order banks and ensure that there are absolutely NO leftover C7's out there?

Help me make sense of this timing?

They've said February 2020 for the past 6 months.

If you have workers on strike, they don't build cars or parts for cars. Is that such a hard concept?
