Andrew Yang Says, The Goal Is To Make It So We Don't
Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang added to the far-left policies that Democrats seek to impose as part of their party's climate change agenda. Yang's climate plan includes targeting cattle and getting society to a point where people do not own their own cars.

I like owning a car, but think most people will not within 20 years, maybe less. Cost of transportation will go down and convenience will rise significantly for urban areas.

Take it to it's natural conclusion and we have no private ownership. The State can own everything and give to each according to his/her need. It's a new concept which I think has legs in the Democratic Party.

The Democrats have fused socialism with fascism.

A lot of Autospies commenters need to get their facts straight....

Coles Notes:

Socialism - The members of society own and control everything

Communism - The State owns and controls everything

Fascism - A Dictator runs the State which controls everything (race based)

Capitalism - : an economic system characterized by private or corporate ownership of capital goods, by investments that are determined by private decision, and by prices, production, and the distribution of goods that are determined mainly by competition in a free market.

Communism,

Communism, Socialism, Capitalism, and Democracy

Communism, socialism, capitalism, and democracy are all among our top all-time lookups, and user comments suggest that this is because they are complex, abstract terms often used in opaque ways. They're frequently compared and contrasted, with communism sometimes equated with socialism, and democracy and capitalism frequently linked.

Part of the confusion stems from the fact that the word communism has been applied to varying political systems over time. When it was first used in English prose in the mid-19th century, communism referred to an economic and political theory that advocated the elimination of private property and the common sharing of all resources among a group of people; in this use, it was often used interchangeably with the word socialism by 19th-century writers.

The differences between communism and socialism are still debated, but generally English speakers use communism to talk about the political and economic ideologies that find their origin in Karl Marx’s theory of revolutionary socialism, which advocates a proletariat overthrow of capitalist structures within a society; societal and communal ownership and governance of the means of production; and the eventual establishment of a classless society. The most well-known expression of Marx’s theories is the 20th-century Bolshevism of the U.S.S.R., in which the state, through a single authoritarian party, controlled a society’s economic and social activities with the goal of realizing Marx’s theories. Socialism, meanwhile, is most often used in modern English to refer to a system of social organization in which private property and the distribution of income are subject to social control. (The term is also often used in the phrase democratic socialism, which is discussed here.)

Communism and socialism are both frequently contrasted with capitalism and democracy, though these can be false equivalencies depending on the usage. Capitalism refers to an economic system in which a society’s means of production are held by private individuals or organizations, not the government, and where products, prices, and the distribution of goods are determined mainly by competition in a free market. As an economic system, it can be contrasted with the economic system of communism, though as we have noted, the word communism is used of both political and economic syste

That is the modern day Democrat party in America. They want to control more and more of out lives.

Democrats are the party of intolerance, bigotry, and true racism. They are intolerant of any ideas other than their own. Everything about them is contrary to fact. For them, Jews are evil oppressors and Muslims came in peace on 9-11-01.

I'm not sure where to start here, but I'll bite.

On the one hand, I don't agree with the purported thrust of this candidate's position. While I think it's being blown a little out of proportion (he's predicting what he thinks is the future, not suggesting policies; plus, he's not going to win anyway, so who cares?), the idea of disallowing private ownership is a non-start for me.

On the other hand, I don't typically have opportunity to interact with people who believe that "Democrats are the party of intolerance, bigotry, and true racism. They are intolerant of any ideas other than their own. Everything about them is contrary to fact. For them, Jews are evil oppressors and Muslims came in peace on 9-11-01." I truly don't understand how or why these are the conclusions you have drawn. I am interested in understanding.

What has convinced you to think these things are true?

Hi NewQ-I agree with Matt on his comments about what the Dem party has become in America. It didn't used to be this way, and to be honest the GOP used to be more intolerant. Now though, if you do not prescribe to the Progressive Left's ideology you are attacked viciously. Any company that supports a cause the Left does not believe in is immediately on a social media ban list. Look at Hillary Clinton in 2016 calling tens of millions of people deplorable for supporting Trump. The Left is quick to call others racist, sexist, etc.. if they disagree on substance. This is where the intolerance comes in.

Sure and the right are simple Nazis. So many frightened scared people. What happened to home of the brave???

Nobody is going to be taking your cars away, but I do think the option not to own a car will be more common in the future, just call your ride when you need it.

My mistake... Left = Fascist Communist and Right = Nazi Racists... better?? I actually don't believe any of it, I don't think most people on the right of the political spectrum are Nazi Racists and I don't think most people on the left of the political spectrum are Racist Communist... most people fall somewhere in between those extremes and running around saying that since you believe in this or that proves you are one of those two labels is just nutty.

People need to not become so worked up about a Math teacher running for President who stands no chance of getting the nomination. Uber already exists, as do other car sharing firms. And you can always call a taxi too or use public transit. The option to live car-less is already there if you live in a major city. And with firms like Uber-Eats, Door-Dash as well as Amazon and Grocery chains that do home delivery, the need to go out or acquire a good or service is slowly becoming a matter of choice.

I think your point would be valid if he was the only 2020 Dem candidate pushing such extreme ideas. But the reality is that it's widespread and each candidate is trying to find a new way to have the government control more of our lives, whether its taking away guns, taking away private health care, raising taxes to fund environmental desires, etc... The Democrat party views the role of government as the answer to all problems which is why you are seeing all the negative comments toward Yang on here. About the only area they don't want the federal government involved involves murdering children via abortion which they view as completely acceptable.

@bnilhome - I see your point. I think the reasoning behind it is that they are trying to fix what ills America.

You are killing each other (and other people's children) on a regular basis, so some of you really should not have a gun. You have amazing health and drug technology, but too many people are not covered or will go broke if they get sick. This isn't right and isn't how nearly all developed countries operate.

There is always money for defence, but never for healthcare. You pay crazy levels of property tax, but you don't pay sales tax or a VAT or federal GST or sin taxes. I think there is a better way forward but you will have to find it for yourselves. The best answer is usually found in the middle of the spectrum. But what you may see as crazy and Left, is actually pretty normal for folks in at least 32 other nations.

Yang lives in his own echo chamber listening to his idiotic socialistic ideas of how to DESTROY the American economy while giving himself limitless power over you.
