SPIED! More In The Wild Shots Of The BMW 840i x-Drive Gran Coupe

Hunting exotic prey is pure dumb luck for some of us. Sometimes it just happens to fall right into our laps, as it did while we were refueling our review car of the week. Such was the case after a weekend of vehicular debauchery, where we needed to hit the neighborhood gas & go, complete with its delectable assortment of three-day-old cardboard pizzas and hot dogs that seemed like they had rolled around on their wiener rotisserie about a thousand-too-many times. When we finished paying, what caught our eyes was a BMW 840i xDrive Gran Coupe.

Hmm. not sure about this. I've seen the CLS 53 in person and that car is sexy AF. I've seen the AMG GT 4Dr in person and that car is aggressively sexy AF. This car, at least in photos, seems a bit conservative.

OOOOOH..not a looker.

Best looking BMW is current 4-Series Gran Coupe (maybe the only good looking BMW).

This is pretty bad - worse in fact than the prior 6-Series Gran Coupe. Hood is too long, greenhouse is too long and extends too far over the haunches, and trunk is way too short - it almost looks as if the rear wheels are too far back.

By the way, Autospies, you can stop with the 8-series Gran Coupe posts because its been up on the www.bmwusa.com "build it now" for almost a week.
