Fremont Police Department Stands Behind Fleet Of Tesla Cruisers

Fremont Police came to Tesla’s defense in a new statement last night after a misleading story about their Tesla police patrol running out of battery went viral.

Earlier this week, we reported on a strange incident involving a Tesla police cruiser nearly running out of battery during a chase.

We emphasized that it was a “user error” since an officer forgot to plug in the car to charge it after a previous shift.

Actually for safety they should stand in front of them when during a chase they loose charge and have to stop on side of the road.

Well I’m glad they cleared that up, thankfully it’s only a fluke and no one in the general public would ever forget to plug in the cars.!??

Eventually - it will be possible to charge without a plug - maybe even have a Police cruiser STEAL the charge from a car they are chasing.

I still believe that eventually the speed of cars will be controlled from OUTSIDE THE CAR - due to autonomous features available - which will eliminate speeding and the problems speeding causes. On limited access highways - the cars and ramps can be controlled to make merging into the traffic or exiting easier. No tailgating. No excess acceleration or almost no sudden braking needed. And if you do not allow the control - you will be limited to local roads with lower speed limits.

And with all these "Exciting new features" - the cars will ALL accelerate and brake at the same rate - so no need for massive high powered motors or engines - increasing efficiency greatly.

Eventually though - ALL cars will be "on demand" - owned by a public utility - have the SAME design - and will charged by the Minute of use -which will GREATLY reduce the need for large numbers of cars being UNDERutilized. Not only will this GREATLY reduce the amount of energy used for transportation - essentially reducing all cars to smaller busses - but it will reduce the need for large amounts of production - eliminating those jobs - the jobs and pollution of the Energy workers that provide the excess energy - and EVEN reduce or eliminate the need for POLICE for traffic violation since there won't be any. OF course - legacy cars will have to be banned from the roads too.Since nobody will be working - immigrants will not come here as well.

Standing BEHIND their TEsla is the proper position to be so the police force and PUSH their dead Teslas.

The same thing that happens if you forget to fill the car with gas.

EV's have poor range. Deal with it.

310 miles of range is plenty for most, especially if that tank is full every day.
