Lol...this guy is still riding off of his dumb luck of being in the right place at the right time at Audi of America.

History:
Canned from Audi.
Canned from Infiniti.
Canned from Cadillac

Legacy:
Hand nothing to do with Audi's success.
Destroyed Infiniti that was nearly dead.
Destroyed Cadillac that was nearly dead.

@MD-I was waiting for you to comment on your favourite auto executive. A good example of failing upwards...

I assumed the only reason he was at GM was because he was banging Mary Barra and that he got fired because he ceased to please. I wonder who he's slipping the salami to at VW.

A worker rises to the height of his failure - Ie one step beyond his capability. THAt does not mean a worker is not useful at the point one step back.

I think it could be said that with Cadillac - that the product DeNysschen was offering was largely pre-determined - before he came. THe marketing Decisions were wrong - though. I would suggest the GM gave DeNysschen too much independence - and to much overall authority. Audi and Volkswagen are with a different management structure with more input into the decisions from various executives - and of course - THEY have the advantage of knowing him better than WE actually do - and how he should operate - and how he should be supervised.

But of course - he is also coming in when it is likely the auto industry will have a downturn - with the economies of the world at the edge already - so this time he might be blamed for that!

He had great plans for both Infiniti and Cadillac, but how genuine was he with them? Surely he would have thrived if you worked for BMW or MBUSA.

Probably a terrible communicator of his ideas to upper management or too egotistical to know when not to budge too much.

Alternatively (tinfoil hat), is it possible that the VAG conspiracy was for him to get into these weaker competitors and stave them off for Audi, all while collecting a paycheck? Maybe a mole indeed lol.

Ghosn fired him for canceling Infiniti's FWD electric vehicle program and putting them behind the curve, plus his arrogance in addressing Mr. Ghosn.

His naming schemes ALONE show that he is a moron.

Cadillac going to names would have been genius.

An Elmiraj would have been something but the CT6 is a big nothing.

The Continental--despite its poor sales--transformed the perception of Lincoln.

The man is a moron.
