DRIVEN: Audi's All-new RS7 Brings The POWER But Is It Enough To STEAL The M5, E63 And Panamera's Show?
The Audi RS7 is kind of like the bad guy in the movies. It's badass looking, powerful and it will certainly make a lot of noise.

Except, you want to root for him.

Audi's all-new RS7 packs nearly 600 horsepower, is coupled with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and makes use of Quattro all-wheel drive to get it up and moving, quickly. Zero to 60 happens in about three and a half seconds.

But, the six figure question is simple: What's it really like?

Verdict

The RS 7 Sportback feels more relevant since Audi distanced it from the now-diesel S7, and it’s undoubtedly more involving to drive than its predecessor, too. The only fly in the ointment will be the upcoming RS 6 Avant, which is sure to drive just as well, but cost less to buy.

I rescued a fully loaded Hemi Charger RT Scat Pack as my new loaner. I'd personally go with a Hellcat before an RS7.

The Audi simply isn't worth the price of admission, but a Charger for half the cost is worth every penny. #Dismissed #Snob

Thats your opinion MDarringter. I am not that kind of guy whos going to cheapen on when I am spending that kind of money for a solid sports sedan. Heck the Charger looks mundane and boring. I drove a challenger on a racetrack 2 months ago and while it was fun it felt cheap. I couldnt touch it with a 100 feet pole.

The true competition for the RS7 is the AMG GT63S and M8 Gran Coupe, along with the Panamera. Amongst that group of four, I'd take the AMG, then M8, then Panamera. There is just something a bit sterile feeling about the RS7. I probably would heavily consider the RS6 Avant over it, as well.
