Amazing that Infiniti truck sales cratered more than their cars when trucks are dominating the industry.
Why keep the brand at this juncture? What is the plan to revive it?

Infiniti, Genesis, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, and Jaguar need to disappear from the American market.

The premium segment is at a crossroads.

Infiniti has no product anyone wants.

The launch of Genesis is so botched it's ridiculous.

Alfa Romeo failed miserably to catch on and dealers are bailing.

Nothing new at Maserati...same old Maserati 300s and Maserati Magnums.

No one knows Jaguar is alive, but it's not well.

Cadillac is salvageable, but time is running out fast.

Acura is salvageable if it embraces being a Japanese Buick. Ditto Lexus.

Volvo is wildly clueless.

Man I hope they can turn things around. I would hate to see any of them leave the market... I think more choices is always better and some like Alfa and Jaguar have fairly interesting products.

But they don't sell. Then factor in the abysmal quality of Alfa and Jaguar and the disincentive is massive.

Apparently, some of these are not good choices. The marketplace has spoken.
Infiniti reminds me of a line from "The Sixth Sense."
Kid - " Some of them don't know they're dead yet."

Agreed as a today statement, As I said, I hope they can turn it around, and become relevant with good products that sell enough to keep them going. We will see...

I also do not understand how Land Rover is hanging on. The Disco Sport and Evoque are based on ancient Escape platform. Their vehicles are overpriced and unreliable.
I think the new Lincoln and Kia SUVs will put pressure on LR.

The Telluride isn't a premium product, but it's ironically more premium and superior (for various reasons) to some premium products: Cadillac XT6, Lexus RX/GX, F Pace, Stelvio, Levante, Disco...

I truly like the new Aviator, but the Telluride is as good for a lot less money.
