SPIED! First REAL-LIFE Pics Of The 2020 C8 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible LIVE From Cape Canaveral
Tonight marks a special occasion, Spies! That's because General Motors has launched the all-new, 2020 C8 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible.

But, it's not like any other vehicle launch. Smartly, Chevrolet strategically chose the location for this major launch. Cape Canveral. You think they're trying to tell us something?

Clearly, the GM team understands how much of a seismic shift this is for the Corvette brand. While a mid-engine Corvette is certainly a big step, a hard-top convertible that looks as exotic as what's coming from Ferrari and McLaren is another.

It *may* just be the supercar killer we've all been hoping for.

All that said, check out the first batch of real-life images coming from Agent Alias who's onsite. We'll be updating this with more photos, so, stay tuned. In the meantime, click "Read Article," below to see MORE images from tonight's launch in Cape Canaveral!

Horrible looking convertible. I'm not a fan of the coupe but at least it's passable. They should have done a roof like the 1968 Corvette and gone with the t-top style. This is ghastly.

I have to agree in part. There are way too many creases on the side. The giant side vent that extends into the door. And the copy cat mid engine headrest cowl treatment. Everyone else does the same. I still wonder why. I looks like a T-top from the side as do the rest, not a convertible. It will look better in a darker colour. I am surprised the debut is in the dark roof. Echo an mid 1990's NSX? Funny they did this at Cape Canaveral. Trying to hark back to a time when astronauts were given Corvettes to drive?

Wow - looks fantastic! They really did a great job with this. Another C8 home run.

Plus, it's got more luggage capacity than the coupe because there's no removable panel to stuff in the trunk.

It's amazing that Chevy can sell these for what they're charging.

Looks like $200k!

I agree, homerun for GM and the first exciting car to come out of America in a while, I really can’t remember the last time I was this excited for a new Vette

Well done Chevy, The Vette has become the value standard and now all of these overpriced, overhyped, and overrated “sports cars” will have to work harder to justify the price.

All C8's are going to sell like crazy and bring in new buyers who never before considered a Corvette. Its combination of looks, technology, power, handling, cost is hard to beat if you are in the market for a sports car. Have always been a convertible guy but with the engine showing from the outside and the convertible having buttresses, the coupe is the way to go.
