NHTSA Promises To Step In If Tesla Smart Summons Accidents Get Out Of Control
The first accident with Tesla Smart Summon we have reported may not be the very first. At least according to an article from Automotive News, which shows earlier tweets of incidents with the feature. They made NHTSA step in and say it is collecting data to see if it poses a safety risk or not.

555,000+ smart summons, 4 accidents so far and one was another driver's fault. I wonder what the number would be if humans did those same drives. Let's say the average person pulls in or out of a parking lot 2,000 times per year. That is 275 years of driving. How many parking lot accidents do you think you would rack up over 275 years?

In addition to smart summon, there were major improvement to highway driving in the latest release (V10) that Tesla didn't even mention and wasn't really talked about yet in the Tesla community. I noticed it was better, but couldn't put my finger on how besides the new visuals. The guy in the video below does a good job of explaining what they changed and you can see what the driving quality is like today on the highway:
