Start To Finsh Production Video Shows Us Just How The New Taycan Is Put Together
Porsche has released raw footage of a Taycan electric car being built from the ground up in their factory in Zuffenhausen.

Last month, Porsche started production of the Taycan, its first all-electric car.

It’s the most money the German automaker has ever invested into a single-vehicle program and they are pretty proud of how it turned out.

They produced an interesting video about the process:

They are doing a lot of stuff manually in the Porsche factory as well, same as in the tent =)

And the Tesla factory isn't too shabby either: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_lfxPI5ObM

If the posters on this thread actually knew how much a structured (metal + fabric) enclosure like the one used to cover the production line at Tesla actually cost, they would likely be quiet. It isn't a pop up tent you use in your backyard. And what does the building have to do with the cars being built? The plant is in California not Buffalo.

Porsche has said the Turbo and Turbo S will be followed up by less expensive family members. 4S and S and Base I guess. Trouble for Porsche is that they will be selling a car far more expensive than the Model S variants but is slower than they are in the lesser trim levels. Perhaps nobody will notice.

@joneshamilton - Is a 911 base slower than a 911 Turbo S? The Taycan Base, S and 4S will be slower than the Tesla Model S P100D. Porsche will limit battery output to differentiate between the various models.

I guess Porsche's own 0-60 and max speed numbers would do for proof

There is no way not to be impressed with this video of the Taycan being made, it is a symphony of robots and people putting together a work of art... if you like seeing how the car is built, you can understand why it cost so much for the product... Impressive beyond words, even for jaded diehard Tesla fans.
