Porsche Claims The New Taycan Accelerates So Hard It Wears The Driver Out

The Taycan has the numbers – up to 280-mile (451-kilometers) on the WLTP scale, 0-60 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in just 2.6 seconds, and a charging time of 22.5 minutes to fill from five to 80 percent. Even better, Porsche has touted its repeatable performance, allowing multiple fast runs without wearing out the car.

It has certainly set the bar for performance EVs, so much so that Daimler boss admits so, too.

Yet it’s not as fast as the Tesla!
I will concede that the Taycan is definitely more repeatable than the model S though. It might even have better initial build quality too.

U do realize your motor trend article proved his claim lol

“Tesla outdid itself again. The Tesla Model S P100D featured a new 100-kW-hr battery pack with enough juice to propel itself to 60 mph in 2.28 seconds. To this day, it remains the quickest production car MotorTrend has ever tested. P100D models could travel 315 miles on a single charge.”

Still another car the has long exceeded the ability to even find many places to drive it at those speeds.

Since EVENTUALLY cars on public roads will be governed by Speed Limit SIgns - including acceleration- these will be among the last generations that are not.

I dare Elon to take any car from a Tesla showroom right now and test it on the ring. What is taking so long? Why is Elon so afraid of embarrassment?

It was a pre-production Taycan as well, not exactly stock.

If you put a stock Taycan on the track, yeah, it might be slower.
