The aftermarket is going to be getting a lot of business if they stick with this. The rest of the car is actually decent.

If you have to defend it, it was most likely a big mistake. Goofy beyond belief. If they go through with it will kill sales.

The only people who like the way that car looks are the people who build and sell Mercedes and Audis....

Purely done for shock value as production version grilles will be toned down, though more vertical than usual.

Europeans like to throw the word "garish" around a lot. BMW would now like to illustrate exactly what the word means. Just call it Hitler mustache.

The difference between Chris Bangle's designs and this design is that Bangle's designs increased sales. This design will guarantee BMW's sales collapse and Adrian van Hooydonk will swiftly be out of a job at BMW.

If this guy wants to keep his job, he better make sure to change that grille before it reaches production vehicles.

Americans better get used to Chinese consumers calling the shots on car design for the entire world. The new BMWs will sell because Chinese will buy them. America is a minority. Get used to it.

It is about time that BMW used styling different from what they have done for the last 3 Eons. The larger Grills does two things
1 - IT makes a new BMW obviously a new BMW
2 - It immediately dates all the older Bmws.

And I think it will spawn new sales from those who do not want to be seen with the obsolete styling - something GM did successfully for decades.
