SPIED: MOST Revealing Spy Shots Of The Upcoming Mercedes-Maybach GLS Are HERE!
The reveal of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS-Class must be just around the corner. Why? Well, the latest spy shots circulating of the aforementioned show a completely uncamouflaged vehicle undergoing developmental testing.

That's right! She's naked!

Given the timing, perhaps an unveiling at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show (LAAS) is in the works? As of now there's no official word. So, stay tuned.

In the meantime, however, you can observe the minor tweaks done to the GLS to make it Maybach worthy. On the outside, you'll note the changes are minimal. This isn't too differentiated from the strategy with the Maybach S-Class variant.

Where the major changes are expected is inside. As of now there's zero information about what the three-pointed star has planned but one would think it's going to be pure opulence. In other words, most likely it will feature four-place seating and go sans third row. That way, passengers can recline and stretch out as seen in the Maybach S-Class as well as in some aftermarket conversions of Escalades and other three-row sport-utility vehicles.

Likely it will make use of the same V8 powering the current GLS580 though we'd love to see the V12 from the S650 make an appearance. We're not holding our breath though.

I find it pathetic that Mercedes thinks it needs a name to go higher than Mercedes.

What's more pathetic is its a tarted up GLS, not bespoke at all...a pure money grab from the egocentric uber rich.

I actually find it quite genius, and the way they should’ve initially launched the Maybach brand, as the highest end trim level first then grow it into a stand alone brand. Maybach S Class sales are crazy globally and it is the undisputed king in China

While all these manufacturers are chasing performance oriented clientele with lines like M Cars, RS cars, F Type, V, SRT, polestar, so on and so forth...

Benz said since our AMG line is already satisfying that appetite, why not quench the thirst for clients looking for even more exclusive Benz/luxury and make a nice profit off it too.

While they warm clients up to Maybach representing the best in luxury of Mercedes as AMG represents the best in performance, they are quietly preparing the relaunch of the Maybach brand and already building a database/demand of clients

Of course being a modern Alt-Left fascist, you'd call resurrecting Hitler's favorite brand genius.

Not gonna lie. A.bit disappointed in this approach. At least the Maybach sedan had a bit more exterior distinctions from the S-Class than just the grille. But need to remember that Today Maybach is just a trim level to really differentiate on the interior.

Relax people...its just a trim level that provides the utmost expression of luxury Mercedes has to offer specifically designed for those with a driver. It's not meant to be a completely different vehicle.
