The Next BIG Thing May Be Electric RV Homes
Winnebago is listening to its customers who they say are ‘hungry’ for electric recreational vehicles and they have invested in an electric powertrain company.

Last year, we reported on Winnebago, a maker of commercial vehicles better known for its motor homes, launching a new all-electric RV platform.

However, the vehicle was limited to a range of 85 to 125 miles, which is not useful for a motor home.

RVing is all about making maximum miles per day. Ergo...battery range will be king. Unless there are geenormous large batteries on board, I don't see EV RV's becoming practical for some years to come.

That should be enough distance to get to the next Walmart so one could conceivably cross the country eventually...

Why do people RV? Get a comfortable cruiser. Stay in nice hotels. Have someone clean up after you.
