SPIED! Completely UNMASKED Aston Martin DBX Gets LEAKED Before Its BIG Reveal...
While I know the auto manufacturers go to great lengths to keep all-new products under wraps until their planned unveils, I have to admit something. I just love when they get spoiled.

In this day and age, one has to wonder why bothering with all the pomp and circumstance.

Auto shows are dying and reveals are happening in the digital world more than ever. Though I will confess: It's SO much fun to be at a launch.

The latest all-new vehicle to get leaked via a sneaky photographer is Aston Martin's all-new DBX. For the unfamiliar, this is Aston's first-ever sport-utility vehicle. From what we can tell, it seems like Aston is hoping the DBX has the same success as the Porsche Cayenne — obviously not at that scale, however.

Taking some creative license from the DB11 and the Vantage, it looks like Aston has pulled together something interesting. It certainly trounces the work put out by Bentley and Porsche. Granted, that's not a high benchmark.

The reveal of Aston Martin's new DBX SUV appears to have been spoiled, with pictures of an undisguised car surfacing online several weeks ahead of the official unveiling.

The car, which is Aston's first high-riding model, was papped during what looks like a promotional shoot by Spanish site Autopista. As expected, the design has significantly moved on from the concept, with a front-end inspired by the DB11 and details such as a tail-lights that curve up and across the tailgate...

I like the design, though they're all starting to look alike: Stelvio, Levante, Cayenne Coupe. IMO, and I know others may not agree, but the Infiniti FX kicked this type of vehicle off. It's too bad the QX70 is a non-entity in the segment.

An Aston SUV should be more upright and more "British" somehow. This looks like the bastard love child of Asian and German parents who had a no-names hook-up at the Marriott during that conference they attended.

Indeed.

The FX did play a huge part in this taking off. This is why it's a shame that Infiniti has no mojo in 2019.

Is it me, or does it look a bit on the small side for a six-figure flagship SUV?

I"d rather have a Cayenne, though the fancy leather is nice but will people pay up for it?

Curious about pricing.

Expect a starting price about $200k USD / $150k BP and it will likely be easy to add $50k to $100k in options.

NFW....for an MB GLE-sized package with fancy trim?

Anybody who has $200,000+ to spend on an SUV would be nuts to buy this one.

Aston Martin (and Lagonda) will soon be an MB trim package, just like Maybach

#mre30 - There is no logical argument to buying a Bentley over a Porsche SUV, but people do and they pay handsomely for the privilege. The same with the Lamborghini Urus. You can easily buy a Corvette vs a DB11 too. They are not looking to sell 200,000 units a year. Likely less than 10,000. They will find homes I am sure.

In the high-end premium SUV segment, the X7 is still the one to have. This is as dismissible as the Maserati Levantate.

Not even sure it's even GLE-sized. Almost more like GLC-sized.

The sad thing for the Aston is that it looks like a $25K 2020 Ford Escape.

This is a nice looking vehicle...for $45K, but we all know it's not that affordable.

It's just not special looking enough to be an Aston.

Good eye.

I noticed the 2020 Escape side profile — especially that D-Pillar/rear window right away...

If Aston is counting on this to save the brand, the fat lady needs to start clearing her throat.

I wish I'd said that! That's MY kind of snark.

I admit to your influence. I know you would not buy this, um, vehicle.
