Wear a light or reflective clothing. Walking on the shoulder is not a good idea. Riding without front and rear lights can be fatal at night.

Cyclists ride like idiots and act as if NONE of the rules of the road apply to them.

I rode motorcycles for over 50 years without any accidents. Only by developing a critical sense of defensive riding (or driving) can you hope to keep out of most accidents. I see bicyclist mindlessly riding without awareness and without respect for common sense on rules of the road.
People must train their kids young for safe riding and be sure they always ride with an approved helmet properly sized.

Alot of these cyclists do not obey traffic laws! Plus Roads are built for CARS / TRUCKS...MOTOR VEHICLEs and NOT for bicycles!

So what exactly is the downside here? Darwin Awards. Many people whom die should so as a result of there own stupidity. Actions have consequences -good or bad.

Why just blame the driver? Pedestrians also need to be more aware of their surroundings instead of being on their phone walking across the street.
