Q70 Flagship Becomes The Latest Victim As Infiniti's Line Up Wastes Away

The long-running Infiniti Q70 luxury sedan won't return for the 2020 model year, the automaker confirmed to Motor Authority on Thursday.

The Q70 was one of the few full-size luxury sedans still available outside of the German-automaker orbit—Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7-Series, Audi A8—although sales in recent years flagged.

Infiniti pulled the plug from the hybrid version for the 2019 model (pun intended), and this year the Q70 is gone completely.

When people see the new 2020 generation of Hyundai cars, they will forget that Infinity ever existed. The new Sonata for example, is a space ship of dynamic design.

No, the new Sonata looks like a catfish going to a rave party.

The face of the Sonata is "so notta" win.

This is curious: "...although sales in recent years flagged" given the Q70 was DOA as a design from the get go.

yeah sales typically flag when you don't redesign the car for 10 years - go figure

Genesis G90 is better looking and bigger too! Lexus LS 460 is in there too. Poor Infiniti. It is down in the dumps with the Acura brand only Acura still can sell it MDX which is 8 year old. The RDX has some problems and the center stack design is a big turn off to some buyers.

Amazing, it's almost as though if a car maker has a product portfolio of ancient uninspiring vehicles, the sales brand suffer!

Also, the Q70 was always a mid-size E/5/A6 competitor. The "L" version was a cheap way to try and get it in a larger size segment.

This came out EIGHT years ago.

No wonder it's dead.

Greenhouse: Toyota Avalon, Ford Fusion, Chrysler 200, VW Passar, but only the Henesis would be the copycat because it is Korean allowing the According to get away with it.
