Ford wants the world to take notice of its plans for electric vehicles. And what better way than to build an all-electric Mustang fastback with a six-speed manual transmission?

And that has us angry over here because it’s a gigantic tease of a prototype that will never make it into production. Or least that’s what Ford is saying.

You can have your 3 pedals if you want but the guy who chooses the 1 gear option will beat you every time. 900hp and 1,000lbsft of twist does not require 6 gears.

I'm sure you are right but very curious about the driving experience and whether it creates more of a bond between man and machine versus just hanging on.

As a side note, more EVs were sold in the US last quarter than cars with manual transmission.

BEV is mass market, manual cars are just a niche feature and soon to be extinct. If not for regulations, it would be a premium option for more cars.
